Notes
• Jam Swap: If red plum jelly isn’t available, any plum or stone fruit jam works beautifully. Apricot jam is a lovely substitute!• Cream Cheese: Low-fat cream cheese works fine, but full-fat gives the richest flavor.• Extra Fancy: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon sugar on top before baking for extra sparkle and flavor.• Avoid Overfilling: Be careful not to overload the pastries, or the filling may bubble over during baking.• Other Spices: Try adding a pinch of nutmeg, cloves, or even a dash of cardamom to the plum jelly for a cozy, spiced flavor.• Make Ahead: Assemble them the night before, cover them tightly, and keep them in the fridge. Bake fresh in the morning for the best results.
Storage and Reheating Instructions
Leftovers (if you have any!) should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. To reheat, pop the Starbucks' sugar plum danish in a toaster oven, air fryer, or microwave until just warmed. They’re still flaky and delicious the next day! You can also freeze baked danishes in an airtight container for up to a month.
