Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • ½ cup salted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters and place on baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until just cooked through.
    1 can refrigerated biscuits
  • While the biscuits are baking, melt the butter in a small mixing bowl.
    ½ cup salted butter
  • Next, in another small bowl, stir together the cinnamon and sugar until well combined.
1 cup granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • Remove the biscuits from the oven after the allotted time. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes so you can handle them safely.
  • Dip each biscuit into the butter mixture and then the cinnamon mixture. Setting back onto the baking sheet. Repeat this step for each biscuit bite. You want to ensure all sides are very well coated.
  • Place biscuits under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the sugar has caramelized. Be sure to watch this step very closely so that you don’t burn the sugar.
  • Transfer the biscuits to a cooling rack and allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • Sugar: Feel free to experiment with the sugar mixture. Brown sugar can offer a deeper flavor, and maple sugar adds extra warmth.
  • Spice: Add a pinch of nutmeg, cardamon, or allspice to bring a nice warmth to the sugar mix. Adjust it to your taste as you mix.
  • Fresh is Best: These bites are best enjoyed fresh from the oven. They lose their delightful crispness if they sit out too long.

Storage Instructions

  • Room Temperature: Once the cinnamon bites have cooled completely, place the leftovers in an airtight container. You can keep them at room temperature for a couple of days, which makes them perfect for grabbing as a quick snack.
  • Reheat: If you want to keep them crispy, pop them back in the oven for a few minutes to warm up and rejuvenate that delightful crunch. This way, you can enjoy the sweet cinnamon goodness all over again!
