How to Make Air Fryer Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole

A complete printable recipe and the measurements in both US customary and metric are available in the recipe card below.

This recipe is super simple, and I’ll walk you through the steps to get it just right. You’ll be serving up golden, cheesy perfection in no time!

Cook the Sausage

Start by heating a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the breakfast sausage until it’s no longer pink, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper, then set aside.

Whisk the Egg Mixture

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, Monterey Jack cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Make sure it’s all combined well for the perfect creamy consistency.

Assemble the Casserole

Grease your casserole dish, then layer the cooked sausage at the bottom. Add the frozen tater tot potatoes on top in an even layer.

Pour and Sprinkle

Carefully pour the egg mixture over the tater tots, making sure it covers everything evenly. Then, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top for that cheesy finish.
